Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways (Proverbs 4:26, NIV).

The fact is, sometimes you have to break up with where you’ve been, to get to where God wants you to be.

• I had to break up with Greek tradition.

• I had to break up with some friends.

• I had to break up with some mindsets.

• I had to break up with my approval addiction.

• I had to break up with comfort and convenience.

• I had to break up with shame, guilt, and condemnation.

• I had to break up with my past to go where God had called me to go.

Revival and renewal don’t happen through willpower. They start with repentance, a surrendered heart that has encountered the love and truth of Jesus and has decided to leave everything behind — break up — to fully follow Him.

Is there anything you need to leave behind? Is there something or even someone you need to break up with? Is there a habit you need to drop? Listen to the Holy Spirit, and as you follow His leading, God will bless you and propel you to your purpose!
