My wife has told me in the past that one of her late great aunts used to work for a great pay rate in her day of $1 an hour. 

So much talk of the economy lately, and inflation that is skyrocketing in our generation. 

It's hardly fathomable to hear that the UN claims that 2/3 of the world lives on less than $1 a day.

Yet, even in the USA, there are always glimpses of hope in the middle of the storm; those things that make $1 seem like a lot still.  Here's a few of my $1 treasures:

-Dollar Menu at McDonald's

-Redbox movies (which are even free when you get their text message codes on Mondays and Wednesdays)

-The iPhone app - pocket guitar, which gives you amazing features and a playable guitar for literally $1.
