A Coca Cola Sized Vision

"Have you ever tasted a cool, refreshing Coke?  Congratulations!  So have millions of other people all around the world.  And it's all Robert Woodruff's fault.

You see, Woodruff served as president of Coca-Cola from 1923 to 1955.  While Chief Executive of that soft drink corporation, he had the audacity to state, "We will see that every man in uniform gets a bottle of Coca-Cola for five cents wherever he is and whatever it costs."

After World War II ended, he went on to say that in his lifetime he wanted everyone in the whole world to have a taste of Coca-Cola.  Talk about vision!

So how big is your vision?"

I love this story.  As Christians, we have something much more refreshing than Coca-Cola (as wonderful as that is).  Christ not only refreshes us in this life but for eternity.  What a wonder! Each of us has "tasted that the Lord is good." (1 Peter 2:3).  May we proclaim to others "Taste and see that the Lord is good!" (Psalm 34:8).

May we never have to admit that those selling less-than-eternal products had a bigger vision than us.

Refreshing Others along with you.

P.S. - I think I'm going to go and have a Coke.
